Description:

This project is a simple command line interface designed to easily operate ffmpeg the “hyper fast video and audio encoder” to facilitate the encoding of videos in Apple iPod and Sony PSP compatible formats on a Linux system.

Furius Video Converter uses a simple ‘wizard’ style interface to easily guide you through the process in 4 easy steps.

1. Choose your format.
2. Choose your input video (the file can be just dragged onto the terminal).
3. Give your output video a name.
4. Grab a beer and wait for your video to be encoded and placed in your Home’s Video directory (automatically created if it does not exist)

Furius Video Converter is written in C# using MonoDevelop on Ubuntu 8.04. At present, Furius Video Converter supports four encoding presets, PSP normal ratio, PSP wide screen ratio, iPod and Mobile Phone (only tested on a Sony Ericsson K550i). I am happy to add more presets if anyone requests them.
